I think there used to be a place called the Laundry on Johnston St and a Band Called Frequent Seahorse. Now FS never played in Victoria before except one song at an open mic on house piano, however, FS to Play Laundry with Mellisa Main and friends Friday 5 Aug Two Thousand and Ten that's 2010 that's this friday folks. Since I just barely re-started this blog up on the coattails of the gig we played with the Adelaide the Movie DVD launch w no through road and Home for the Def I doubt there are Any followers so this post will be for people who see our future gigs and wish they had come to this one as well.

Pre gig emails between the Andrews have been mostly about classing the act up for the casual music lover. Hope to appeal to you and your loved ones Friday night around 730 on.

Okay I said it would happen and it did. HOIPE 2005. I set up a flickr photo group thingo HERE. All and all it was really a great success. At one point our one beer per performer rider was extended to two beers bacause of the amount of beer sold and each performer walked away with $18 AU.

I am too tired to write an eloquent essay on guilt and its crippling effect on the left and how If there was one thing I Identified with in Hunter S. Thompson's Writing (in fact there are many things) it was this: Life is a battle of ideas and ideals. We can't let the rat bastards keep killing all that is decent and until we can stop taking responsibility for the mess the 'Ominious They' keep getting us into we won't be able to properly fight back.

This is why his death is so terrible. I guess on one hand its none of our business why he killed himself but on the other hand its really hard to believe that someone who I always thought was capable of staring truth in the eyes and bighting its ugly face off could have finally become so overwhealmed with despair that he gave up.

I'm finding it increasingly diffucult to suspend my excitement, Furthurmore I am having a hard time concealing said excitement

Whilst the Apple II was a nice micro, the worst thing Apple ever did was produce the MacIntosh. It had a pushbutton-on-a-string called 'mouse', and included a silly video game called 'desktop'.

There was no command prompt with which to use it in any way.

A small unknown company called Microsoft later made the mistake of imitating
the Mac, when they had a perfectly usable OS called MS-DOS (or PC-DOS).

When I first moved here I started a blog called entropop. It is a really sad and lonely blog. it is still up at entropop.blogspot.com If you like this blog I highly reccomend digging into the archives where you'll find a less australian andrew searching to make sense of it all.

Television is an institute you cant diperage. It changes your environment weather you watch it or not. It is a replacement for the senses which have been disabled by white noise in the environment. Television is your new Uncle. Television will always be hangin' with you in the livingroom. Unless you have two livingrooms, sometimes a stereo is a replacement for television.

Getting this really nice iBook was a bad idea, but at least I watch less television. It is impossible to escape the televisions in your midst without the use of some superior technology.

The computer makes one a pretentions overlooker of Television Society. "Ha Ha, television users, they are so dense, Why don't they just get switched onto the internet?" Is a statment often uttered by the Modern Computer User.

That almost wants me to launch my own blog called Modern Computer User. Instead I will synticate said blog right here on Entropop. The future will be filled with a regular "Modern Computer User" syndication.

Mac Mini

Jeeze am I ever on a nerdy streak with posts. Anyhow, I'm a bit irritated about the timing of the release of the Mac Mini. I've already dropped my wad on this PC laptop and I suspect it,the mini, would be perfect for performances. All I would have needed to do was plug the puppy into a little tv on the road and plug it into one of the hard rubbish monitors I have here at home. Oh well, I am enjoying this computer and 800 AU aint hard to come by if I want to get the mac as well.

This is the second post from my new used computer. I'm running Ubuntu Linux which is really nice. (Thanks Mike) It has made shedding os x not so bad. Anyhow, there's something dissapointing about each new Unix OS I encounter and that is the shortcoming of it in regards to the scene in Jurrasic Park where the little girl taps vaguely at the 040 vintage macintosh and says "It's a unix system, I know this" She then proceeds to scan this super cool three d schematic of the system which I have yet to see the equivilant of. Anyhow, take it easy. Don't let the sound of one's own discernability motor one near the luny receptacle.

If you don't know who the residents are and don't mind being re programmed a bit they are quite simply the coolest band ever. Even if you know who they are and don't like them, seeing them live is quite simply the coolest thing ever. I have never seen any theater or musical performance that was 1/10th as amazing as the residents show I saw. I can't do justice to explaining them so here's some links.

Hello. I have not posted anything on my blog in quite some time. You see, my Macintosh is basically dead. It is strange, life without a computer. I draw lots of pictures. One day I will start posting a comic book I am working on. I just need to find someone with a scanner set up.

Another thing is that somehow real life is not very blog freindly. Blogs are good for holding neat things you find on the web or neat things you put together on your computer. But honestly who really wants to read some random kids prose. Certainly not me.

Theres some frequent seahorse stuff happening. We just listened to the mastered version of the cd today. It's prettty cool listening to it. We'll get our hands on 500 of the puppies sometime after christmas.

This election has brought a lot of good out of the nation. If anything we built new forms of infrustructure for complicated dialectic that never existed before. We had a lot to stand up against, simple fearmongering is an extremely powerufl force and yet we came so close to overcoming it with ideas that, while still simplistic, were at least based on some subset of reality and not on delisional armogedden fantasy.

We are becoming more aware of the whirling murdoch machine and its power to zap idiots into submission but it has also become more aware of us.

I think we need to use these new infrustructures for something beyond politics which is honestly the lowest form of human expresssion. I know that during the leadup to the war and during this election I've reached out to like minded individuals in ways that were never possible before and in turn they have reached out to me.

I believe that this macrocomsic communication can be applied in microcosmic situations that will help improve every day life. How many decisions do we make independantly of the electorate, hundreds daily. The political machine has very little to do with life and everything to do with forcing us into niches and keeping us apart. Let us use the new arms and legs we have grown to make our own lives better and extend our ideas and energy to others in need.

After sleeping on it, I find I'm not quite as inclined to imagine that OBL's tape was a conscious effort to swing the election for Bush. It doesn't seem to me that he understands us quite that well, and it doesn't seem to me that I understand him well enough to be that certain of what he's up to. I think the message might actually have been: "Hi. 9-11 was all my idea. And you haven't been able to catch me, so I'll do it all over again if I decide to. I know you're having an election now, but that won't make any difference either way. In order to make a difference, you'll have to get your government to stop doing the things they're doing that keep me wanting to attack you again. 'Bye."

It gets harder, the more I think about it, to see that causing many of the remaining pool of undecided US voters to go Bush. I think OBL needed a logo moment, though, in terms of the ongoing validity of his global brand, and look what he's been able to pull off, with virtually no outlay: The world's full attention, as both candidates drop everything to respond.

You know who would've completely gotten OBL? Andy Warhol.

One of my friends in the TMK resistance brought this digital photograph from Redfern New South Wales to my attention. The population of this suburb near Sydney spans a broad spectrum of socioeconomic character (wikipedia.org). For my world viewers the Liberal party sent Australia into the war in Iraq despite an overwhealming majority of australians opposed to such a move. They also have an appaling record in the mistreatment of refugees. They were recently re-elected much to the chagrin of anyone with a soul.
